Religious Leaders’ visit to the Naleemiah Institute of Islamic Studies
The Search for Common Ground (SFCG) Sri Lanka has designed a programme for building an inclusive coalition of religious and community leaders, alongside civil society, focusing on building platforms for dialogue and opportunities for joint advocacy. And also it has established a Roundtable for Interreligious Engagement with 25 religious actors representing the diverse religious traditions of our country, youth and women, civil society leaders as well as those with no faith traditions and engaged with them in a participatory and inclusive approach by creating a trusting space.
Therefore, a few exposure visits to religious institutions have been designed to explore opportunities for collaborative engagements to promote religious coexistence and religious freedom.
As Shaykh Hassan Sulaiman is one of the members of the Roundtable for Interreligious Engagement representing the Academy for Development, Research and Training (ADRT) of Naleemiah for the last one year, they visited the campus on 28.06.2022 and had a meeting with Assheikh A.C.Agar Mohamed, the deputy director of Naleemiah Institute of Islamic Studies.
