Naleemiah Institute Holds Annual Prize Giving Ceremony
The Naleemiah Institute held its Annual Prize Giving Ceremony on August 3, 2023, at the Naleemiah Auditorium. The ceremony marked a long-awaited return after a two-year break due to prevailing unavoidable circumstances in the country, including the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the event, the Director of Academic Affairs, Usthaz C. Aiyoob Ali, emphasised the significance of student participation in competitions to foster their skills. He encouraged students to take part in future competitions, providing a platform for showcasing their talents.
The Rector, Usthaz Agar Mohamed, highlighted the four fundamental pillars of education, which is the focus of Naleemiah: knowledge, skills, attitude, and practice. Emphasising the importance of communication skills, he asked students to focus on developing communication skills to efficiently convey what they learn.
Winning students impressed the audience with their talents through speeches, songs, poems, and drama. The highlight of the event was the awarding of certificates and money vouchers to the deserving winners.
The vote of thanks was delivered by the Head of Student Administration, Usthaz M.T. Kamaruz Zaman. He expressed gratitude to all the students who actively participated in the competitions, as well as the dedicated staff members who served as judges and played crucial roles in the organising committee.
The ceremony was organised by the Extra Curricular Activities Unit of Naleemiah, which plays a crucial role in nurturing students’ diverse talents and interests.
